The Advisory Group on Alleviating Hardship was established to fulfil a commitment in the Programme for Government 2011-15.
This is one of a series of reports1 prepared under the provisions of the statistics and Registration Service Act 20072. The Act requires all statistics currently designated as National Statistics to be assessed against the Code of Practice for Official Statistics3.
OFMDFM is in regular contact each year with many of the key users of the LFS report through the work of Equality Research Branch on issues relating to equality of opportunity and delivering social change.
