Consultation description

The Executive Office (TEO) is running a consultation on the Departments Draft Equality Scheme.  The Department’s Equality Scheme was approved by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland on 25 September 2013 and was updated in 2017 to reflect the functions of the Executive Office following departmental restructuring in May 2016. This is the third revision of the Scheme; it provides minor textual corrections and revised information on the work of the department along with a new organisation chart and updated consultation list.

TEO will analyse the responses to its own consultation, consider the findings and use them to inform The Executive Office Equality Scheme.

The Department welcomes interest and comment on any aspects of this document.

The Department is committed to seeking the views of those who are affected by The Executive Office Draft Equality Scheme.  We are keen to hear from individuals and organisations about their views on the equality implications of the scheme and about any improvements or amendments that the Department could make.

If possible, responses should be returned by 11 August 2023.

Copies of the Consultation Document, including a link to a comprehensive Response Template.
