    Zone:

    Belfast West

    Category:

    Capital

    Social Investment Fund Outcomes:

    Increasing Community Services

    Status:

    Operational - Construction Complete

    Funding awarded:

    £863,226

    About the Project:

The Argyle project relates to the extension of the Argyle Business Centre to provide additional rental units providing improved business infrastructure and job opportunities. The extension consisted of two blocks providing nine additional units. The capital works have enabled the provision of new lettable workspace to businesses and enterprises that will create additional local jobs in the west Belfast area.

    Progress to date:

The Argyle Business Centre project has completed construction and is operational. The extension at Argyle Business Centre has provided a number of much needed business units that will enhance the physical and support structure available to the business community, increase employment opportunities, facilitate economic and social renewal and contribute to the regeneration of a previously vibrant entrepreneurial community in the lower Shankill area and the greater SIF Belfast West Zone.

    Impacts:

Monitoring and evaluation of all Social Investment Fund projects is carried out using “Outcomes Based Accountability” (OBA). Where SIF has funded capital works, the project provides quarterly “post-capital” data for a period of 3 years which details the positive impacts enabled by the capital works undertaken. The Argyle project is still in the construction phase and OBA data collection is ongoing for the final capital infographic.
