The Executive Office has today launched a competition to appoint a Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland (CPANI).

The CPANI regulates, monitors and reports on a wide range of Ministerial appointments to Boards of public bodies here to ensure that public appointments are made based on merit and with proper regard to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Notes to editors:
- This post is a part-time appointment (75 days per annum) for a single period of five years, subject to satisfactory performance.
- The remuneration for the Commissioner will be £22,857 per annum. The post is non-pensionable. Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred will be paid at Northern Ireland Civil Service rates. Commuting to and from office is not paid.
