The purpose of this report is to provide an update on the actions taken forward across Government to implement the Executive’s Disability Strategy between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2014.
The Executive’s Disability Strategy ‘A Strategy to improve the lives of people with disabilities 2012 – 2015’ was launched in February 2013.
The strategy was developed using a rights-based approach to fulfil the Executive’s obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
