The purpose of this guide is to raise awareness of the public appointment opportunities that exist in Northern Ireland.
The guide has been designed to provide much of the information needed to understand what it means to be a member of the board of a public body. It also seeks to explain the type of bodies currently in existence and how the process of appointing people to these bodies works in practice.
