The Racial Equality Subgroup
The Racial Equality Subgroup is an independent body representing minority ethnic communities. The Subgroup acts as a strong voice to Government on issues specifically affecting minority ethnic people, migrants, and race relations, and to keep our actions informed and relevant. The group is chaired by a member of the group independent from Government.
The Racial Equality Subgroup’s membership comprises people working with or representing minority ethnic people and migrants, including representatives of refugees and asylum seekers; the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission; and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland. Membership seeks to represent a broad range of minority ethnic groups living in various locations across the region.
