    The document sets out the vision as - 'a future where disabled people contribute to and benefit from the cultural, social, political and economic life of Northern Ireland on an equal basis as others'.

    The purpose of the strategy is to set out a high level policy framework to give coherence and guidance to government departments’ activities across general and disability specific areas of policy.
