The Executive Office is committed to building a society in which racial equality and diversity is supported, understood, valued, and respected; and where people of minority ethnic backgrounds have a sense of belonging which is acknowledged and valued by people from all backgrounds.

The Strategy sets out a framework for Government to tackle racial inequalities and open up opportunity for all, eradicate racism and hate crime, and promote good race relations and social cohesion.

    Racial Equality Indicators Report

The report monitors the Strategy’s progress in four key areas: equality of service provision; elimination of prejudice, racism and hate crime; increased participation, representation and belonging; and cultural diversity is celebrated.

    Departmental Racial Equality Champions

Champions aim to ensure that messages about the importance of racial equality and good race relations are consistent and visible to all staff across NI Executive departments.

    Racial Equality Subgroup

The Subgroup represents minority ethnic communities as an independent voice to Government here on issues specifically affecting minority ethnic people, migrants, and race relations.
