    In 2012 OFMDFM, now the Executive Office, Ministers created a Development Corporation to realise the economic, historical and reconciliation potential of the Maze/Long Kesh Regeneration Site.

    Maze/Long Kesh Development Corporation

    The MLK Development Corporation Board was established on 10 September 2012. The Corporation is an executive non-departmental public body and its main objective is to secure the regeneration of the Maze/Long Kesh site.

    In 2013 the Corporation secured the relocation of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) to the site. The RUAS has hosted several successful Agricultural Shows on the site since its relocation. More information on this year’s RUAS Agriculture Show can be otained through the RUAS website:

    Future regeneration plans

    Ministers continue to discuss a way forward with the regeneration of the Maze/Long Kesh site.
